Home stay Student of SD Kristen or Kristen Elementary School of Klaten collaborated with Country Elementary School of Bawukan 2 entertained people around in Siswo Laras Artshop August 14th 2009 to finish their duty of Home stay. They stayed in the local family house for five days. This artshop also use to entertain people around with puppet, drama or ketoprak and Jathilan every month.

Puppet Puntadewa was a white blood knigt ( face to left side ), honest didn’t want to cheat, run the order loyaly. The first son of Kunti mother and Pandudewanata the King. Joseph or Yusuf in Hebrew was a honest knigt, helpful to brothers ,respectful to his parents Jacob. Yusuf on the picture above (face to the right side) was a figure in Wayang Sabdo (sabdoPuppet ) (sabdo is a words in the Cristian Holy bible)
Nyadran
Time for death Flower merchants sell white and red rose flowers and incense providing buyers behind the street in time of Nyadran (nyadran : time for the death ) of Javanese month. Flowers will be laid on the cemetery grave stones, they respect for the death by giving their pray and flowers. The night before Javanese people conducted for Kenduri (kenduri ; a traditional ceremony where they bring sesaji. Sesaji mean offer that consist of rice, meat, vegetable,flowers etc.

Plaosan Temple
Concern on Plaosan Lor temple was started in the Dutch Period by research and restoration on South main temple. Conservation efforts were continued by Indonesian government by Archaelogical Office of One interesting result reveal 440 x 270 m canal surrounds the complex with about terracotta fragments and foreign ceramics on its base. In the past the canal was a drainage system in the temple complex. students annual walking
Our school, SMP Negeri 3 Manisrenggo, Klaten Central Java or Junior High School succesed held the annual student walking to Merapi Mountside for second times, last year in 2008 we held the same thing to Kalitengah, that is one of the tourism object on the east side of Kaliadem lava tour Tourism Object that separated by the river Gendol, its about 14 kilometres from school, we all teacher and students walked from school at 07.00 AM arrived there at 10.00 AM and held a little ceremony like convert gift or presents to each others, all dressed in sport uniforms.Under pines trees cool and fresh of mountain air it was a wonderful. All joined together to get involve, the school headmaster, teachers, boyscout leaders and adolescent red cross and also some teachers brought car to mobilize unstrong students. After doing some activities we drove back home by trucks.
This year on July 18th 2009 we changed the route to another way not to Kalitengah but to Balerante, Balerante located on the eastside of Kalitengah, it was about 12 kilometres from school to the northwards.
Next year probably we will have a same activity like before, probably if you read this articles you interested in, you may join us for free but you must ready to prepare your own feet power, physical and maybe a little preparation like some foods supplies,etc. Call me and I will give you an information.

Keris
Early from without any of intention, exactly now become the hobby. Rudy J Pesiq , narrated in a daily newspaper column of Kedaulatan Rakyat, July 7th, 2009, was born in Singapore , that has an Indonesia blood owning 2 thousands of Keris made at 9 up to 14 century.He collects the Javanese Keris to preserve result of masterpiece of ancestor.It was told, when he was in birthday moment he was given by his friend the place of nginang (nginang ; small place made of metal to soften sirih leafs and munch it, usually for Javanese women old time ago ) he thought to collect it after he came home from foreign country and he found that many of the foreigners take a fancy to Keris. Besides used as a weapon for it made of metal, Keris is also considered to have a supernatural power for there is a certain power dwell in it. Javanese people believes that every Keris has a certain power with its characterization. My grandfather used to have it , dozen of Keris laid inside the cupboard,One night my father and grandfather said that one of the Keris that hung up on the wall shook its body without any hands touched it.Some people admires to process of making, for one Keris need 2 up to 3 months even more of making. Man who made Keris called Mpu or Empu (Empu: the master or the blacksmith), in the past time Empu had a very important role, from the story we knew Mpu Gandring from Majapahit Kingdom that made a powerful Keris for Ken Arok that finally killed Tunggul Ametung the Regent with the Keris of Empu Gandring and took Tunggul Ametung’s wife Ken Dedes as his wife.
