Concern on Plaosan Lor temple was started in the Dutch Period by research and restoration on South main temple. Conservation efforts were continued by Indonesian government by Archaelogical Office of One interesting result reveal 440 x 270 m canal surrounds the complex with about terracotta fragments and foreign ceramics on its base. In the past the canal was a drainage system in the temple complex. Up to know, conservation projects have restored the north main temple, Stupas, perwara temples, Dwarapala statues, Gapura (entrance gates and Mandapa ) Taken from : Indonesian Archaeology Office
